Knocked-Out Tooth (Adult Tooth)
- Hold by the crown, not the root
- Rinse gently if dirty (do not scrub)
- Try to place it back in the socket
- If not possible, store in milk or saliva
- Seek care within 30–60 minutes for the best chance of saving the tooth
Dental emergencies can happen anytime—whether it’s a sudden toothache, an injury during sports, or a broken crown before a big event. We strive to provide same-day emergency dental care to relieve pain, prevent complications, and restore your peace of mind.
If you’re experiencing pain or trauma, call us immediately. Our team is here to help.

For most dental issues, your dentist is the best choice. However, go to the ER for jaw fractures, deep facial cuts, or if swelling threatens your breathing.
Don’t reinsert the tooth. Contact us immediately so we can examine the area and prevent complications.
We do our best to accommodate true emergencies promptly. Call our emergency line for urgent care instructions.
Many dental plans cover emergency exams, and we’ll help you navigate coverage and costs.
Contact our Richmond office during business hours and we will be happy to help you in English, Cantonese, or Mandarin.
